Deconstruction

The Industry

Deconstruction is the disassembly of a structure for the purpose of preserving building material to donate to a reputable 501(c)3 and repurpose the material on a new project. Deconstruction has been recognized since the year 2000 by the United States Department of Labor, U.S. Department of Housing of Urban Development, and the Internal Revenue Service. DDP is the 3rd party administrator that will manage the acquisition of real estate, which has significant donation value. The DDP administrators will transfer real-estate title to the Client, have the real-estate appraised by an IRS approved deconstruction appraiser, manage the deconstruction of the structure, and deliver the building materials to a reputable 501(c)3 on behalf of the Client for a tax deduction for the following year. DDP is able to provide clients with a fully sustainable and green approach to community revitalization, redevelopment, material re-use, workforce development, and a significant financial benefit through Deconstruction.
